Organized  in  1978  by  LSGH  President at the time, Brother Rolando Dizon, FSC, the La  Salle Green  Hills  Alumni  Association  was actually born on the afternoon of February 18, 1979, a Sunday.  It was a Kabihasnan Fair Day, and at 4 p.m. some five hundred alumni turned out for the reunion gathering at St. Joseph’s Auditorium.

The establishment of the alumni association specifically for Green Hills graduates was the result of a proposal by Brother Dizon, meant for those who have graduated from Green Hills and have established close association with their High School.  Additionally, the number of Green Hills graduates who have attended colleges other than DLSU, thus, have not had the chance to be involved with a La Salle Alumni Association.

The following directors of the first Alumni Board were appointed by Bro. Roly Dizon, FSC: Ricky Sanchez (Acting Chairman), Chiqui Cui, Kaloy Velhagen, Joy Warren, Manny Blas II, Gary Santos, and Doji Malabanan.  Bro. Dizon, FSC acts in capacity of moderator of the Association.

    Proofs of these are :

  1. 1)the establishment of the Lifetime Membership Plan wherein the Association continuously gets in touch with the alumni, keeps them posted on the alumni activities, and updates them on recent events in the school;

  2. 2)the putting-up of the Brother Leon Castiglione Memorial Sports Development Fund wherein the alumni assists the school in uplifting its sports program through coaches’/trainers’ fees and athletic equipment.

The primary function of the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association is the maintenance of a line of communication between LSGH graduates as well as the preservation and creation of alumni alliances.

The Association has also been very visible in the school’s affairs through participations in the Career Orientation Week, in symposiums on important issues, in the Multisectoral Committee, in the La Sallian Spirit in Action (LASSA), in out-reach programs, and in other events that the school sponsors wherein the alumni must get involved.

    Composed of eight (8) officers and 7 (directors), the Alumni Board meets regularly every month to discuss pertinent alumni matters.  The Board is elected every year during the homecoming, after which they elect officers among themselves in the first board meeting.
